LightNow is a registry for public and private Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. It provides a publicly accessible catalog with verified publishers and a tenant-capable private registry. LightNow is fully compatible with the official MCP Registry and additionally exposes MCP server capabilities (tools, resources, prompts). Server manifests can be validated and published.

LightNow includes multi-layer trust scoring per server version as well as ownership verification. The registry is designed for enterprise use cases, including SSO/IdP integration, custom branding, and governance policies. Technically, it is built on an event-driven architecture and runs on Kubernetes, with AI-assisted category assignment.

Development of an MCP server (tools) for integration into the company’s AI landscape, enabling LLMs and AI agents to access internal APIs. The tools provide sales-related key figures to support real-time analyses. Authentication via OAuth 2.0 ensures that data is always delivered in the correct context. The server is implemented in Python using FastMCP. For the communication Streamable HTTP transport is used.

Conceptualization, design, and implementation of an API platform to integrate the entire ordering and processing workflow for leasing bikes. Responsible for the functional and technical design of the complete REST API - from order submission and status inquiries to bike pickup and invoice generation.

Implemented in PHP/Laravel, including OAuth 2.0, rate limiting, and secure partner integration. Built the API portal with technical documentation, integration guides, and a sandbox environment for sales, specialist dealers, and external partners. Supported the integration of ERP systems in collaboration with the respective vendors. Operated the platform in the cloud using a multi-account setup based on Kubernetes and managed with Terraform.

Team lead for the "Storefront API" for international shop systems. The API is based on PHP Laravel with Redis and Elasticsearch. Responsibilities include managing an API migration from PHP to Go, along with specifying the API endpoints. Further tasks include the transition from AWS ECS (Amazon Elastic Container Service) to Kubernetes (multi-account and multi-tenant architecture), performing load tests with up to 1 million requests per minute, as well as switching from New Relic to Datadog.

Design and development of REST APIs for the presentation of audience measurement data in a complex web application. Coordination and implementation of web services in the role of lead developer in an international project team. Creation of SDKs and API documentation / guidelines. Cloud migration to AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technology for describing the services. Set up the build and deployment pipelines.

Technical migration of a portal for reporting and processing damage claims for end customers, stockists, and repair service providers. Design and implementation of new microservices. Containerization of services.

Development of a SaaS platform for managing API documentation. Product development and architecture design. Implementation of backend components as REST API-based microservices in a distributed system. Introduction of continuous deployment and establishment of quality gates.
